Three separate layers effect the filtration, energetic treatment and good taste of drinking water:

The fifth generation cartridge is even more powerful and the water tastes incredibly good.

1. Ion exchanger activated carbon mixture reduces lime, nitrate and heavy metals.
   The ion exchanger is yellowish-gray and turns white when wet.
2. High-performance activated carbon with an iodine retention capacity of 1200! guarantees best filter performance of almost all known possible
   Contamination of the drinking water.
3. Pi technology – Advanced ingredients of magnesium, calcium, various ceramics with tourmaline and
   other ingredients like
   Quartz sand and Pi magnet, EM ceramic powder (EM=Effective Microorganisms according to Prof. Higa).

^AcalaQuell® water filter systems do not automatically filter out limescale like Brita water filters, for example. Calcium and magnesium are important minerals that our body needs to build healthy bones, skin and hair. That is why we want to preserve the natural calcium and magnesium content in the water and filter out only a small part of it.If you have very calcareous initial water, it may be useful to use a to use anadditional lime filter .
